Contact Ronald Patkus
Ronald Patkus is a native of Connecticut. He received a B.A. from Boston College (1986), an M.A. and Certificate in Archival Management from the University of Connecticut (1987), an M.L.S. from Simmons College (1993), and a Ph.D. from Boston College (1997). His research interests include the history of books and printing, religion in America, and local history. He is the co-editor, with Elizabeth Daniels, of An Administrative History of Vassar College, and the author of numerous articles. He has received grants for foreign study from the British Council, the Rotary Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. He co-teaches courses on “The Medium of Print and the History of Books” and “The Reformation Era” and regularly offers classes on primary sources in the library to students in a variety of other courses.
Mr. Patkus also serves as Associate Director for Special Collections in the Vassar College Libraries, and Liaison for the Libraries to the Departments of German Studies, and Italian.
